Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how CalcDesk ("we", "us", "the site") handles information when you use calcdesk (calculator.virtualgoal.com).
2. Calculations stay in your browser
All calculator inputs and results are processed entirely client-side, in JavaScript running in your own browser. Numbers you type into any calculator on this site (age, BMI, loan amounts, etc.) are never transmitted to, stored on, or logged by our servers.
3. Currency converter — third-party data
The Currency Converter tool fetches live exchange rates from a third-party exchange-rate API (open.er-api.com) directly from your browser. Only the currency codes and amount you enter are sent as part of that request; no personal information is included. Please refer to that provider's own privacy practices for details on how they handle requests.
4. Cookies
We use a small amount of local storage / cookies to remember your dark-mode/light-mode preference and whether you've accepted our cookie notice. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies at this time. If that changes (for example, if we add Google AdSense or Analytics in the future), this policy will be updated accordingly and the cookie banner will reflect the change.
5. Analytics
At the time of writing, CalcDesk does not run any analytics or tracking scripts. If analytics (such as Google Analytics) are added later, this section will be updated to disclose what is collected and how.
6. Third-party links
Our footer may link to external sites (social media, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites.
7. Children's privacy
CalcDesk is a general-audience utility site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent via our Contact page.
Note: This is a general-purpose template, not legal advice. If you collect personal data, run ads, or operate in jurisdictions with specific requirements (GDPR, Pakistan's PECA/data protection rules, etc.), have this reviewed by a qualified lawyer before relying on it.
